About me
I am a Mexican VR producer working at the intersection of extended reality (XR) storytelling, and social equity. I believe in building power with people so we can co-create bolder and more creative means for change. My approach for working with VR comes from the blend of feminist and decoloniality principles and a lot of joy for learning.

My Story
I was born and raised in a small city in Mexico. Back then, life in Irapuato, our hometown, was simple and familiar. We played with our neighbors on the streets, and every outing meant running into friends. Nothing extraordinary seemed to happen—but that was part of its charm.
Everything changed over the past decade. Irapuato has become one of the most dangerous cities in the world. The narco-violence transformed the city, and our lives too.

After growing up in the beautiful state of Guanajuato, I earned a scholarship to study International Relations at Tec de Monterrey, one of Mexico’s most prestigious universities. It was a milestone—moving away from home to the bustling city of Monterrey, a place once known for safety, opportunity, and economic promise. My parents were proud and supportive as I took this big step.

But in 2019, just as I arrived, everything shifted. The Mexican army and narco cartels clashed violently in public spaces, and Monterrey, too, became a landscape of uncertainty.

Do you see where this story is going? Each of the 10 cities across 6 countries where I’ve lived has left its mark on me. From Medellín to London, Sarajevo to San Cristobal de las Casas, each place has shaped me—teaching me empathy, resilience, transformation, resistance, and the power of creative curiosity.
These cities hold stories of struggle, change, and hope. But more importantly, they are held together by communities of storytellers—people who have shown me the essential human side of every society. In each place, I have found spaces for solidarity, care, and social change work.

I am a nomad.
An unapologetic brown skin.
A mother.
A social policy graduate.
A friend.
A sister.
A VR enthusiast.
And a curious mind that loves to ask: What if we…?
